Brook and Gaisford Earn Men's Golf NAIA Scholar-Athlete Recognition

KANSAS CITY, MO. (May 20, 2024) - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athletes. Joshua Brook and Oliver Gaisford received this honor. 

The 2024 list features 380 student-athletes and 125 schools who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.

Junior Joshua Brook, a Computer Information Systems and Security major, has been part of the team since 2021. Brook has competed in five tournaments as a Saint and marked his best score of 76.66 at the University of Houston-Victoria Fall Classic in 2023. He earned a 3.75 GPA.

Junior Oliver Gaisford, a Kinesiology major, has been part of the team since 2021. He played in eight tournaments this season and tied for first at the John Bohmann Invitational and took second place at the Red River Athletics Conference Tournament. He marked a 3.73 GPA.
