Majsajdr and Santos Set for National Showdown in Rome
Rome, Georgia- The stage is set for one of the biggest challenges of the fall season. Jaroslav Majsajdr and Joao Santos will take the court at 1:30 p.m. CDT on Thursday in Rome, Georgia, representing OLLU in the prestigious Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup.
Their opponents are #2-seeded duo from Georgia Gwinnett College, perennial national contenders and one of the most decorated programs in NAIA tennis history.
The ITA Cup brings together the top collegiate players from across all divisions of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Over four days, the nation's best will battle not only for national titles, but also for pride, prestige, and the right to be called National Champions when the finals conclude on Sunday, October 19th.
The pair has shown steady chemistry throughout the fall season, blending well. Their road to the ITA Nationals has already been one of resilience.
