Saints Complete Series Sweep Over Xavier

New Orleans, LA- Our Lady of the Lake completed a three-game sweep of Xavier (LA), pairing explosive offense with dominant pitching early in the series before closing it out with a hard-fought 4-3 victory in the finale.

The Saints opened the series with a decisive 17-0 run-rule win in five innings. The offense erupted for 13 hits and 17 runs without striking out, consistently applying pressure throughout the lineup. Arianna Alejandro went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two stolen bases, while Reanna Aguirre scored three times and added an RBI. Boston Tijernia collected two hits and drove in a run.

The middle of the order proved overwhelming. Lilly Rocha homered and drove in two runs, scoring three times, and Marisa Rosales delivered a standout performance, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, and eight RBIs. Novalee Gloria added three hits, including a double, while Yezenia Perez also doubled. Alyssa Guzman recorded an RBI, and Caitlin Casas contributed a sacrifice. In the circle, Annika Litterio threw a five-inning one-hit shutout, striking out eight without issuing a walk.

Game two shifted to a tighter contest, but the Saints secured a 2-1 victory behind timely hitting and another dominant outing from Litterio. Alejandro powered the offense with a home run as part of a 2-for-3 day with an RBI. Reanna Aguirre doubled and drove in a run while also executing a sacrifice. Tania Rodriguez tallied two hits, including a double, and Caitlin Casas reached base three times. Our Lady of the Lake totaled seven hits and worked around eight runners left on base to claim the win.

Litterio was again in command, tossing a complete-game seven-inning performance. She allowed four hits and one unearned run, walked three, and struck out 10 to improve to 7-1 on the season.

The series finale tested the Saints resilience, as they edged Xavier 4-3 to complete the sweep. After dominating the opener and grinding out the second game, Our Lady of the Lake responded in key moments to secure the one-run victory and finish the series unbeaten.

The Saints will be back in action this weekend at home against Southwest starting on Friday at 12:00 PM CDT.
