Garcia Recognized As RRAC Women's Golfer Of The Week
WACO, Texas (April 20, 2026) –
RRAC Women's Golfer of the Week – Samantha Garcia – Our Lady of the Lake (Texas)
Sophomore Samantha Garcia participated in the 2026 Texas Wesleyan Spring Invitational as an individual. She tallied a first-round 80, a second-round 81, and a third-round 80 for a total of 241. She finished 19th among 37 golfers.
The Saints did not compete as a team, but Garcia, Grayson Weiler, and Samantha Ziegler participated independently.
The event took place in Willow Park, Texas, at the Squaw Creek GCS and was hosted by Texas Wesleyan.
Garcia is a native of Kenedy, Texas.
OLLU is ranked No. 41st in the Scoreboard NAIA rankings. Garcia is ranked No. 237 over 900 individuals in the NAIA.

RRAC Men's Golfer of the Week – Ethan Armendarez – Texas A&M-Victoria
Sophomore Ethan Armendarez turned in his first top 10 finish as a Jaguar. He used a 2-under 69 to open the tournament. His second round was a 2-over 73, and his third round was 3-over 72.
His results placed him tied for ninth among 68 golfers across 12 teams.
The Jaguars took sixth place with an overall +15, with a first-round 290 (+6), second-round 290 (+6), and third-round 287 (+3).
Armendarez is a native of Fort Worth, Texas.
