Mobile, AL- The Our Lady of the Lake University women's tennis team saw its season come to an end with a 4-2 loss to College of Coastal Georgia at the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship.

The Saints entered the matchup looking to continue their postseason run but faced a strong Coastal Georgia squad that capitalized on key moments throughout doubles and singles competition.

Coastal Georgia claimed the doubles point after winning two of the three matches. At No. 1 doubles, Carolina Guerrero and Michaela Muller battled Gabriela Miteva and Luna Feillon in a tightly contested match before falling 7-6, 7-4 in the tiebreak. Anja Pisar and Maéva Chambon dropped their No. 2 doubles match 6-3 to Karlie Scott Kersey and Gabriella Rodrigues. OLLU earned its lone doubles victory at the No. 3 position, where Ely Laure Ah-sou and Marie Peters secured a convincing 6-1 win over Manon Baudet and Felicia Elixmann.

In singles play, the Saints responded with strong performances on two courts. Guerrero delivered a dominant showing at No. 1 singles, defeating Kersey in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4. Ah-sou also earned an impressive victory at No. 4 singles, overpowering Rodrigues 6-1, 6-1.

Despite those wins, Coastal Georgia secured victories in the remaining matches to clinch the team result. At No. 2 singles, Miteva defeated Pisar 6-2, 6-1. Peters fought through a three-set battle against Feillon at No. 3 singles but ultimately fell 7-5, 1-6, 6-2. Muller also pushed her match to three sets before losing to Elixmann 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. At No. 6 singles, Chambon opened with a first-set victory before Baudet rallied for a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 win.

Although the season ended in the national tournament, OLLU once again demonstrated its competitiveness on the national stage. The Saints showcased resilience throughout the match, particularly in several hard-fought three-set contests, while continuing to build on the program's strong reputation within the NAIA ranks.

The national tournament appearance marked another successful season for OLLU, highlighted by consistent performances throughout the year and a roster that competed with determination against some of the nation's top programs.
