WACO, TEXAS (Aug. 29, 2023) – Mia Francis of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) claimed the first Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week award of 2023 for Aug. 21-27. This is the first set of weekly award for the 2023 RRAC volleyball season.

Francis led the Saints to a sweep of No. 10-ranked Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) and Oklahoma City University. The sophomore outside hitter from San Antonio averaged 4.9 kills per set with 15 errors on 112 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .304. Francis also accounted for 25 kills in a 3-1 loss to Carroll College (Mont.). OLLU improved to 2-5 on the season.
